Damon T. Cudihy, MD

Damon T. Cudihy, MD, is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist in Lafayette, Louisiana, and the co-founder of Acadiana OB/GYN, the private practice he helped launch in 2013. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

A National Merit Scholar, Damon earned dual bachelor's degrees in Biology and Spanish from Florida State University and his MD from the University of Florida. He served in the U.S. Army as a field surgeon, including as a Battalion Surgeon in Iraq in 2006–07. He trained in obstetrics and gynecology at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium (SAUSHEC) and completed his residency through SUNY Buffalo at Sisters of Charity Hospital.

Before coming to Lafayette, Damon spent four years as a staff OB/GYN at Holy Spirit Hospital's Center for Women's Health in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, where he performed da Vinci robotic surgery and proctored other surgeons in minimally invasive techniques. He also serves as Medical Director for Natural BirthHouse and the DesOrmeaux Foundation's Women's Center of Lafayette, and sits on the boards of the Acadiana Breastfeeding Coalition, the DesOrmeaux Foundation, and Acadiana Homeschool Athletics.

Damon and his wife, Lauren, have been married more than 23 years and have eight children. An avid runner and CrossFit athlete, he spends his free time outdoors with his kids camping, backpacking, kayaking, dirt-bike riding, hunting, and fishing.
