Board Chairman, Catholic Legacy Foundation of Acadiana

Monica Zuschlag is Board Chairman of the Catholic Legacy Foundation of Acadiana (CLFA), the Lafayette-based foundation dedicated to connecting generosity with purpose — ensuring every contribution is ethically stewarded, strategically invested, and aligned with Catholic social teaching. A philanthropist and community leader, Monica leads a board of business owners, attorneys, investment professionals, and clergy from across Acadiana.

Originally from Tennessee, Monica made Lafayette her home and has invested deeply in its community life, including serving as President of the Junior League of Lafayette. She and her husband, Blaise, give back through their family foundation, carrying forward the legacy of generosity instilled by Blaise's father, the late Richard Zuschlag. Her guiding principle for leadership: "If you see change that you want to make happen, go serve in the role that makes that decision."

Monica describes herself in five words: prayerful, mother, dreamer, doer, and cheerleader.
